Lately I've been venturing more to the Game making area and it's been a lot of fun.
I participated on the SPJam (http://www.spjam.com.br), helping out on the making of JAM LEON (http://spjam.com.br/jogos/jam_leon).
In Jam Leon you play as a Chameleon who has no control over its color changing ability and is in search of its favourite food: rainbow jam. It is a platform stealth game where you need to run from bush to bush to blend in and not get eaten by the hawk before you get to your precious jam.
I helped more on the art and level design and it was a hell of a experience. Originally we would be a team of six making the game in 48 hours, but sickness and life happened and only 3 of us could be there for most of the time, bottom-line is that I ended up doing most of the art and I think it turned out ok :)
I used Samurai Jack as inspiration and ended up with this:
The yellow one was just an adaptation of Chihiro's art, it was a corner green bush before.
Overall the jam was awesome! I learned a lot and got to meet amazing people like Patricia de Carli who kindly made the soundtracks to Jam Leon. I loved it! Thanks Pati!
My final project for college is also a game and I'll be posting about it here soon. I'm working on a game related group project too, but this one is a secret for now. That's all for this already long post, see ya!
